In my Creative Catalyst Newsletter I have a regular feature called Creativity Coffee Break which is a way I can pass on useful publishing opportunities, or give you a creative boost with a tip or exercise.
Many people find them useful, and so I thought I would pass them on and this is for all those lovers of the Old West who are ready to swop their pistol (metaphorically speaking) for a pen!
The Western novel is a genre that comes and never really goes, as it is extremely popular with fans. Good news if this is something you have always wanted to write because Solstice Publishing in the States have just announced a new imprint for this very genre. The Editor is Gary Dobbs (aka western author Jack Martin) and he is looking for stories set in the Old West which apparently was a melting pot of ethnic minorities and lots of social upheaval.
He wants 40-90,000 words but ideally 60,000 so have a look at the FAQ on their website and clap on your Stetson! http://solsticepublishing.com
