Creative Crosswording

I am pretty sure there is not such a word as crosswording but I couldn’t find anything else to describe what I have used as a creative exercise, inspiration and just plain wonderful way to pass time. I was listening to Desert Island Discs this week and the guest castaway was a famous crossword compiler who well into his 90′s was still going strong – mental stimulation is a great health tonic!
